Miley Ray Cyrus was born Destiny Hope Cyrus on November 23rd, 1992 in Franklin, Tennessee and raised in Thompson's Station, Tennessee to Tish Cyrus and Billy Ray Cyrus. She has five siblings - two half-brothers, a half-sister, as well as two younger siblings. Her parents chose her name because they hoped she would achieve excellence. Cyrus was the lead character on Hannah Montana (2007), a Disney TV series about the life of a girl who has in a dual life as a star. The show's director was Cyrus' dad also appeared as her. This was an instant hit with sold-out tours as well as hit record and merchandise deals were also in the pipeline. Cyrus quickly became a popular teen phenomenon. After the huge success that was Hannah Montana 2006, Cyrus changed roles. Cyrus played Ronnie Miller and Lola alongside Demi Moore in The Last Song 2010 and LOL 2012.
